Recorded this on the fly this morning, so his first question to a panel of DHS higher-ups is missing: “How many people have crossed illegally into the United States since Joe Biden became President?” The main guy tried to duck by introducing his title and résumé, but Kennedy interrupted and asked the question again.

“I don’t know.” That was the answer.

“Does anybody know?” No answer.

“How about 8 million.” Kennedy went on to name four states, including Arizona, whose collective population adds up to 8 million. “That’s four states…”

Which is where my recording picks up the interrogation:

The media really like making fun of him.

But I think we’ve reached the point where the real joke is on them.
