FTA: <<New York judge threatens to jail Trump for ‘blatantly’ violating gag order
Arthur Engoron questions former president’s lawyers after he failed to remove social media post about judge’s clerk

A New York judge threatened to imprison Donald Trump for “blatantly” violating a gag order on Friday after the former president failed to remove a social media post mocking the judge’s clerk.
As proceedings in the civil court began on Friday, the New York judge Arthur Engoron asked Trump’s lawyers why “this blatant violation of the gag order would not result in serious sanctions, including financial sanctions and/or possibly imprisoning him”.
Engoron issued a gag order against Trump on the second day of the trial earlier this month after he attacked the judge’s law clerk, Allison Greenfield, in a social media post. Greenfield has been assisting Engoron throughout the trial, usually sitting next to the judge in the courtroom.
“Why is Judge Engoron’s Principal Law Clerk, Allison R Greenfield, palling around with Chuck Schumer?” Trump posted on social media, along with a picture of her with Schumer and linking to her personal Instagram page.
Engoron had ordered Trump to remove the post and to cease posting about court staff, though the post remained on his campaign website weeks later.
Trump’s lawyer Christopher Kise apologized to the judge for the violation saying that Trump’s “campaign machinery” forgot to take down the post.
“There was no intention to evade or circumvent or ignore the order,” Kise said, adding that the post had been taken down.
This is the latest crackdown Engoron has made against Trump and his lawyers. In his pre-trial ruling, Engoron sanctioned Trump’s lawyers for repeating arguments the judge struck down, fining them $7,500 each. Trump was also fined $110,000 earlier this year for not responding to subpoenas before the case went to court.
Engoron said he would take the explanation “under advisement”, and noted that Trump was “still responsible for the large machine”. The judge did not immediately rule on the violation, though a ruling could come later.>>
I have nothing to add other than a point I’ve already made multiple times. Trump needs new lawyers. But then I don’t have any respect for the intelligence, courage, or judgment of lawyers across the board, so there’s nothing new to say about it.
So I’ll close with something else that’s not new. I happen to have a little video about Judge that may seem like a trifle, but it reveals an important truth about him in his own words. Maybe it will more interesting than the joke I originally intended in the context of a faux trial by a faux prosecutor and faux judge who might achieve their only ever chance at immortality by being the first to jail a former U.S. President on a faux civil court matter. Engoron is officially part of this team of vindictive corruptocrats:
Do you even know who Engoron is? Yes he really does look like the Reverend Jim Ignatowski of “Taxi” fame. Some of the same chemicals involved, I suspect.
Judges are not usually appointed to the bench for their resemblance to Seventies kitsch like mood rings and lava lamps. They were a thing once. Like Jimmy Carter was a thing once. Like the NYC bailout with junk bonds under Mayor “Kiss Me” Koch was a thing. But nobody’s nostalgic for those things anymore. Except maybe, come to think of it, the State of New York, where all kinds of Seventies fads are popular again. Free love for violent criminals who must be accommodated through this difficult phase in their personal development. Porn oozing from every surface in Times Square, because who are we to say it’s a worse eyesore than Trump Tower? Total financial meltdown because Big Apple intellectuals are the smartest and wisest people on earth and know that grinding poverty is something that only happens below the upper floors of the Upper East Side, far less important than the ‘feeling good’ feeling you get from pretending to empathize with their privations. This is the Big Apple stuff of which Arthur Engoron is made.
He really does have a rotting claw-hold on a CHYOS degree, and he should be disbarred for having pronounced Trump guilty in this case BEFORE the trial even began. Why I made a funny video about him driveling in his own words. The color scheme is indeed taken from lava lamps and mood rings, the era in which his emotional and intellectual development was probably arrested. Take a look…
Don’t think there’s much more to be said about this. No need to add punchlines to things that are already punchlines as a condition of being. But you know about me and music (or you will…). After I finished making the video I looked at it and thought it kind of a shame that there’s no perfect music video to go with this. You know, something from the Silly Seventies with weird heads, the right middlebrow lyrics, and the look of having been filmed inside one of those red-yellow-blue lava lamps. Too much to ask. But wait a second. My mood ring just lit up all happy on my middle finger. Try this one on for size., and Let the Good Times Roll.
