I’ve told you about the great new AI feature of my iPad where Apple or somebody breaks into my image files and makes their own videos out of what they grab from there. They send me the results on a regular basis, more than 200 of them by now.
To be blunt about it, the videos look less like AI assistance than Rube Goldberg algorithmic routines with lame electronic Muzak and a few slickish collage tricks pretending to tie it all together. They’re fondest of sequences, including raw work in process files, but sometimes they think they can jump credibly from one timeframe to another and make accidental sense. This produces some real howlers. I enjoy them on that basis.
Occasionally I do my own edits of their productions. I put two or three vids together, make cuts (never additions), change playing speeds of frame sequences, add a title slide or two, and take credit for the end product without having to accept responsibility for its failings. Perfect, huh?
I’ve been pretty busy lately elsewhere trying to get arrested by the DOJ Weapons Division, so I’ve been neglecting my audience here. Apologies. Thought Halloween might be an opportunity to make amends and give you all a laugh. Why I used the process described above to assemble a holiday video artifact of October 31, 2023.
Four minutes of thought-free fun. Hope you like it…
